A (kind of sketchbook animation) short film inspired by my observation on grandpa’s funeral, especially on his TouQi. Family and friends of him who are far away and long time no see gather at his old house to memorize his death, giving this space some spices. Having the traditional Wenzhou funeral ritual events as the skeleton, emotions, feelings, and vibes are gradually unpacked.
葬礼在我想象里，本该是悲伤的，因为它代表一个生命的逝去。
但我经历的爷爷的葬礼像冬阴功汤，酸辣咸甜。辣是热热闹闹的丧葬风俗，嘈杂的社交大铁锅；酸是与死者拥有共同回忆的人对他的悼念；咸是人们对于生死冷暖的淡漠；甜或许是孩童的天真无暇嬉闹玩乐？
葬礼是为生者准备的仪式。在定下葬礼这个concept后，我一直在想这部片子是关于什么的，在做了这么几版animatic和animation后，我想现在它既是我对于爷爷葬礼的回忆和感触，又是我对于葬礼general的体会
